Authorization for Vehicle Services

On October 26, 2026, the Government of Alberta eliminated the paper Authorization for Vehicle Services form and replaced it with an online authorization completed through a verified Alberta.ca account.

How does an individual provide Authorization?

1. Sign in to a verified Alberta.ca account.
2. Click on the Vehicles & Transport section.
3. Complete the online Authorization for Vehicle Services form.
4. Identify the individual or organization being authorized and the vehicle service requested.
5. Submit the form. It successful, an alert is placed on the authorizer’s Motor Vehicle file.
6. Provide the authorized party with the info and documents needed to complete the service.
