WHAT IS AN NUANS RESERVATION REPORT?

NUANS is a computerized search system which compares a proposed corporate name to a database of existing corporate names. It determines the similarity that exists between the proposed name and existing names in the database, and produces a listing of names that are found to be most similar.

After you receive a NUANS Pre-Search, and your name is found to be acceptable, an Alberta or Federal NUANS reservation report reserves the name in the database for 90 calendar days, so that no one else can take the name during this time. When you register your name, the NUANS report must be less than 91 calendar days old and must contain all 6 pages. Either the original or a carbon copy is acceptable.

HOW DO YOU GET A NUANS RESERVATION REPORT?

For online service: If you are doing the service online, please email or fax (403.246.0647) us the above documentation along with the payment receipt number (emailed to you once you complete payment online). Once we receive the above information, we will email or mail the NUANS report to you.
